Bert Fornaciari
Chairman of the Board

Mr. Fornaciari has more than 25 years of operating experience in high-tech companies, including Convergent Technologies and Hewlett Packard. He spent eight years at Silicon Graphics where he was Vice President and General Manager of Customer Support and Manufacturing. Most recently, Mr. Fornaciari was a founder and CEO of Web21, publisher of 100 Hottest Websites, which was acquired by Go2Net.com in 1998. Since then, he has been an active angel investor.

 

Lawrence Pan, PhD
CEO/CTO

Dr. Pan is leading efforts directed toward controlled synthesis of carbon nanotubes and their integration into electronic devices. He was a manager of Technology Development at Candescent Technologies, a company which successfully developed working prototypes of a 13.2" field emission displays based on cold cathode technology. He has over a dozen years of experience in the area of electronic devices and has worked on many aspects of product development, including integration, yield, test and characterization, failure analysis, modeling, life and reliability performance, and technology roadmap. His prior experience also includes scientific R&D work at Sandia and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories. He has published over 20 papers and edited two books on carbon, diamond electronics and field emission and holds 15 patents in those areas. Dr. Pan received a bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of North Carolina and a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford University.

Hongjie Dai, PhD

Dr. Dai is the scientific co-founder of Molecular Nanosystems. He is an Associate Professor in the department of Chemistry at Stanford University. He has more than 10 years of experience in nanotechnology research and more than 60 publications. His scientific achievements form the basis of the company.
